The gorgeous fall sun sets are coming earlier every day. The leaves on the trees are starting to turn colors. And HEY … the nights are starting to get a bit chilly! Soon we will be plagued with freezing temperatures, nasty New York City snow, and (dare I even think it …) NO SAILING!!! Fret not. There is a solution … Sun Yacht has organized a sailing trip to the balmy Caribbean Sea during the 2003 winter.

Trip #1—St. Martin to British Virgin Islands

  • February 8th–15th (Saturday to Saturday)
  • Fly into St. Martin, chartering a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 52.2 (five cabins & four showers/heads) sailboat on Saturday February 8th.
  • Sail around St. Martin, St. Barts and Anguila for two days, overnight sail to the British Virgin Islands, and then sail the BVIs.
  • Depart sailboat in Tortola, BVI on Saturday February 15th.
  • Standard price including breakfast, lunch, 3 dinners, snacks, water & sodas (minus airfare & transfers) is $1575 per person ($3000 per couple).

    British Virgin Islands' Home Page

  • Trip makes a perfect Valentines Day sailing get away in the warm tropical paradise of the Caribbean!
  • Two licensed United States Coast Guard Captains will be on the vessel.
  • ASA and US Sailing Certification for Basic, Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering available.
  • No previous sailing experience is required.
  • A 50% deposit is required to insure your crew position.

Trip #2—British Virgin Islands

  • February 15th–22nd (Saturday to Saturday).
  • Fly into Tortola, chartering a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 52.2 (five cabins & four showers/heads) sailboat on Saturday February 15th.
  • Sail the around the entire British Virgin Islands, staying at a different island every night.
  • Depart Tortola, BVI on Saturday February 22nd.
  • Standard price including breakfast, lunch, 3 dinners, snacks, water & sodas (minus airfare & transfers) is $1500 per person ($2900 per couple).

  • The float plan consists of sailing the Sir Francis Drake Channel / British Virgin Islands for a week … island hoping between Tortola, Jost Van-Dyke (Foxy's Bar), Norman (Treasure) Island, Anegada (Rock Lobster!) and Virgin Gorda (The Baths). Enjoy sailing, sun, balmy breezes, rum, reggae and relaxation. The only required thing requiring work is your tan!

Trip #3—Antigua Race Week

  • Fly into Antigua on Saturday, April 26th, chartering a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2 (four cabins & two showers/heads) sailboat.
  • Race Sunday through Friday, party on Saturday. Accommodations may be split between the boat and hotels.
  • Depart Antigua on Sunday, May 4th.
  • Standard price including breakfast, lunch, snacks, water & soda (minus airfare, transfers and dinners) is $1750 per person ($3300 per couple).

    Antigua Sailing Week

  • Sun Yacht is planning to competitvely racing week (defending our title of a top ten finishers) in our third Antigua Race Week and have some partying fun, too!
  • Boat will be skippered by a licensed United States Coast Guard Captain
  • For safety reasons, some previous sailing experienced is required
  • A 50% deposit is required to insure your crew position
